It finally happened. The fashion show. A year of planning, thrown away by COVID, another year of planning, thrown away by other obstacles, but we did it. One of the most tear jerking projects I have ever done, never in my life have a felt such resistance. In the end, we sold over 90 tickets and had an amazing turnout. Every seat was practically filled, some had to stand. The joy I felt that day of the show, will never be matched. Even in the chaos of getting models dressed lined up and organized, I felt liberated. The feeling of finally getting to do what you love. Unmatchable. The event started at 11 am at The Good Kind Eatery, restaurant and wedding venue located downtown. We had our guests arrive, live music was playing as they were offered a free drink. Back stage, models where practices their walks, pacing back and forth with anticipation for the show. At 11:30 am, the doors opened. People began to take their seats. Mouse whispers and giggles of young girls echo back stage, as my co-host and I introduce the show, thanking everyone who helped pull this event all together. Then we queued the lights and the music began to ring. The show has begin. The models were amazing, perfect, and prompt. Kate was smiling. I wanted to give a special thanks to Ian Donahue for the lighting, Tommy Achilles for set up, Emily McMicheal, Suzanne Simpson, and Susanne Marco with helping organize the event, lastly Mama Dee for helping fund this project. Thank you everyone who helped me with this amazing event. I feel so incredibly grateful that I was given the chance to finally do what I love!
