A New Arising

In these past few weeks, my life has been Chaos. Hours to days to weeks filled with nonstop fashion blogging, club running, fundraising, college essays, SAT prep, 9-5 table busting, and more. I have been sprinting on a treadmill for too long, and inevitably I snapped like a rubberband. In this snapping, I was graced by a two week vacation and am back on my feet, pressing for more.

Recently, I have been getting this gut feeling in my tummy about this new upcoming niche in fashion. It has been sprialling around in there for a while and now the belly of the beast is rupturing. Retro Futurism is arising. Retro Futurism is a movement of creative arts displaying the influence of the futured produced from the earlier era. This Sci-fi enacted form of fashion is quite captivating. Alluring and alluding. This new disco tech, club kid, draggish aesthetic is practically pulling my money away. The only problem. I don't know where to shop for this costume.

From this Retro Futurism rave I see many different alterations of this trend coming to light. For example, Cloudwear. Baggy oversized and very voluminous. This upcoming fall, expect to see many different interpretations of this Cloudwear clothing. This cross over coverage will be digested by the Scifi futuristic look I had mentioned earlier. Try to picture, very oversized baggy and beautiful silver and shiny pants. This off putting silhouette will be captivating. A true head turner. I look that makes you look again. Just recently, on the good ole Tik Tok I spotted Sierra Mae wearing these gorgeous and galactic oversize baggy silver cloud pants. When I say cloud, I don't literally mean clouds on clothes. By cloud I mean like poofy, plump, and a bit swollen. This look will seem as if it is absorbing you. As if the clothes are wearing you.

Aside from Cloudwear, another rumbling in my tummy trend I see catching on is Club Kid culture. Originating from the drag community, the campy outdrawn style takes us back through the past but perplexes us into the future. A lot of makeup, quirky head extension and oh my god colors. Freaky pattern and beads, thin eyebrows and dark lips. Can't get much better. The point is originality. The claim is to be an individual. There is no right way, but there is definitely a wrong way to commit this look. You don't try hard enough. I mean going all out. Glitter stripper heels and over extended tool rainbow skirts. A very carnival way of dressing and I LOVE IT. My generation especially really tries to prophesize this kind of confidence and form of weird girl culture.
